As the final weeks of 2025 draw near, we’re delighted to welcome Shona Jones as the new chairperson of Renfrew Burgh Band! Shona, long-serving flugelhorn player with the band having first joined in 2007, formally took on the role at our recent AGM. It came after the decision by Myra Mack to step down from a position she has held since 2019. What a wonderful day we have had! Some of our members and families started off with a festive brunch at Coast restaurant before heading to Langbank Church of Scotland  for our 50/50 Proms Advent Concert. With our Assistant Musical Director Ash Paton  at the helm, we delivered a programme with everything from traditional carols to modern favourites. A special highlight was 'Away In A Manger', beautifully featuring our flugelhorn soloist, Shona Jones . A huge thank you to Els
